I'm now down to ONE pair of slacks? Wow, I didn't realize I
gained this much. But…I HAVE been avoiding more and more social events
and family get-togethers - I don't want anyone to see I've gained.

really need that desert?", or feeling "I’m being judged."

We overeat to numb painful feelings so that we don’t have to experience
them. Our feelings are the #1 cause of overeating. For so many of
us, food is a major tranquilizer. This is one of the reasons why
so many people develop an addiction to certain "favorite" foods - they
act just like a medicine. The only problem is that this homemade
"medicine" can have serious physical side effects. |
