| We
all want to feel self-confident. It feels so wonderful to be able
to walk into a room, speak to people and feel self-assured. Feeling
comfortable in your own skin - priceless!
Most of
us seek confidence in our environments with the people, places and things
that make up our world. We rarely find it there; instead,
it is discovered within us. This is where our own positive self-talk
plants the seeds that blossom into a healthy self-esteem and respect.
Positive
self-talk represents the strength that lives within all of us. It’s
quite powerful and loving. Positive self-talk replaces the negative
chatter in our minds which drags us down and prevents us from being ourselves
and accomplishing all we want in life.
Self-talk,
whether positive or negative, is heard, recorded, and stored in our
subconscious minds. Our subconscious mind believes everything
we are told & believe as well as your internal self-talk; its’ job
is to feed all that information back to you, unaltered; therefore,
it is essential to vigilantly filter all that is spoken to you as well
as your own thoughts. |
Below,
I am going to suggest some positive self-talk phrases you might write on
a small index card, carry it with you and read it several times a
day. Remember, you don’t have to believe these words for them to
deliver a powerful effect.
Reading
them over and over again, though, automates them into your thinking process
where you find yourself moving into a more confident and self-assured way
of being. Repetition is the key!
1. I am
looking and progressing forward with confidence and love. Every day
my respect and honor for myself increases.
2. I am
attracting positive people into my life. I surround myself with loving,
giving, caring and energetic people who support the best that I am.
3. I have
all the energy I need to accomplish my goals. I tap into my own
source of inner strength. I move through my life with renewed commitment
and excitement. |
4.
I choose to release all my fears and doubts, and my life becomes
calmer and more enjoyable. I’m learning to remain calm in the face
of change.
5. I slowly
breathe in peace and contentment and breathe out any stress and tension.
6. I am
even-tempered and emotionally well balanced. I feel centered and
focused, and more secure within myself every day.
That which
we consistently affirm to ourselves becomes our reality. |
